Multi X strengthens its commitment to innovation and sustainability at Blue Week 2025

Multi X had an active participation during Blue Week Los Lagos 2025, an international event aimed at positioning Chilean Patagonia as a global hub for the blue economy. The event brought together public and private stakeholders, including authorities and international actors, companies, entrepreneurs, and NGOs, among others.

“These types of events help showcase what is being done in southern Chile and foster constructive dialogue around the challenges of one of its main economic activities: aquaculture. Sharing experiences with ecosystem stakeholders—from entrepreneurs to international delegations—highlights the work we do and reinforces the strategic role of salmon farming in the country’s sustainable development,” said Francisco Lobos, Multi X’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager.

A highlight of the week was the visit of a delegation from the Chile–Spain Foundation, made up of 20 participants, to Multi X facilities, where they learned about the company’s production processes, value chain, and the use of new tools to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.

In addition, Francisco Lobos also accompanied a technical visit by Canada’s Ocean Supercluster to REMAP, a company that supports Multi X in the management and recycling of plastic waste from processing plants and farming operations. This collaboration has been key in advancing the company’s circular economy model.

Meanwhile, Alberto del Pedregal, Multi X’s Deputy Manager of Corporate Strategy and Development, took part in the panel “From Science to Market,” noting that “it was a valuable space to demonstrate how science and technology, when connected to industry challenges, can become high-impact solutions. We want to continue driving innovation from southern Chile, and we are open to collaborating with all those who seek to build a more sustainable, knowledge-based aquaculture industry.”
