Lawyer from Diego Portales University and Master of Laws (LLM) in Regulatory Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with extensive experience in regulatory matters, public policy, and sustainability. He has served as a professor in the Global Competitiveness Leadership Program at Georgetown University and currently teaches in graduate programs in Regulatory Law and Environmental Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad del Desarrollo. He is a member of the Senior Governing Council of Diego Portales University (through 2030) and developed a distinguished parliamentary career as a Member of Congress and Senator between 1998 and 2018, during which he served as President of the Chamber of Deputies and President of the Senate, leading key committees on constitutional, environmental, and social matters. Since 2019, he has served as Senior Consultant at VGC Abogados, advising on regulatory affairs, corporate governance, sustainability, and community relations, and since 2023 he has been a board member of the Amparo y Justicia Foundation.
